What is it?
Why it is the Sun-YummyFlower in The Garden. In the middle of being harvested. For her yummy seeds.
We should never have been allowed to raise a Sunflower.
After soaking the seeds overnight in a salt water solution and patiently roasting them in the oven.
We excitedly cracked open the first shells.
Only to find, there were no seeds.
In my rush to pick them before the birds could eat them, I failed to allow time for the seeds to develop apparently.
Luckily, there is another little flower beginning from the bottom of this stalk.
With gardening, you can have a do-over.
Oh, that's disappointing. I probably would have done the same thing. Oh well, live and learn, I guess! At least you have an excuse to build a fun scarecrow now.

Don't worry. I won't start referring to you as "The Do-overs" just because of this! But I love that you have a second chance heading toward harvest!
