It has come to my attention that I am lacking direction.
If you ask The Dad, he will tell you that I've never been good with directions. I can get him lost and turned around in our hometown. Perhaps that is why Dog is his co-pilot and he makes me sit in the way, way back.
However, I am not talking about physical direction. I am talking about life direction. I'm in that in between spot of my parenting career, where The Kids are gone more than they are here.
Sure, I could go out and get a job, but really, who would hire me? I've been working my own schedule for the past 12 years. I'm not sure I could adjust to the old 9-5 grind again. Also, I would hate to take a job out of some poor unemployed person just because I'm bored. With the economy the way it is and all.
One of the things I'm very good at, much to The Family's joy, is making lists.
I decided that making a list would be just the right place to start. Once I post a list on my blog, I will be under severe pressure from all of you (or maybe just my Mom) to follow through on the goals I've established. Some of these things will be easy to do, others might take me outside of my comfort zone. Which, isn't that kind of the point?
I was going to name my list something snazzy, like 40 before 40, or my Life list, but definitely not my Bucket List. Then, I saw an ad for a new MTV series and I realized, my list is an old person's list.
So, as I go I shall cross items off my Old Person's List, I also reserve the right to add or delete items as I deem appropriate.

So, there you have it. I realize it's the latest fad, to make lists, post them on your blog, and blog as you do the list items.
What can I say? I've always enjoyed hanging out with the cool people.
And I've been lacking in the blog creativity department lately.
Great list! Though I'm hoping #4 needn't collide with #10. I registered with "Be The Match" last year at COC. And if you ever want to go donate plasma together, that would be "fun" too! Love ya', and looking forward to cheering you on throughout your quest!
