For a few years now, I have been begging The Dad to move us to a country home with some land. He kept telling me that if I found something we could afford, he would move us. I found it. Now, I'd like to know when we're moving.
Now, I know what you're thinking. Yes, I realize it needs some work. Stay with me here though. I will walk you through the beauty that is my dream home.
See how open the floor plan is? All the sunlight that streams in? In these cold Southern CA winters, that will surely come in handy. Plus, we hardly get any rain here at all.
The curtains are in fair shape. I've become relatively friendly with my sewing machine. I can handle those.
You can see the Old School House from the front door.
The Kids are already eager to enter their new place of learning.
There are other conveniences as well. Like this.
Conveniently located between The Dream House and The School.
A double seater. That speaks of wealth.
The Boy was thrilled to be the one to make the discovery of such convenience.
Everything looks more dramatic in black and white.
All this raw material, just waiting to be made into something useful once again.
My pen. For horses or cows. Or Alpacas. Decisions, decisions.
I have no idea what this is. But I'm sure it is quite useful.
Some kind soul already gave us a head start on the garden. And the woodpile.
Who couldn't use a spare tire?
The Dad and The Boy could totally fix this. Yes. They could.
It even has an alarm system built in.
Give us a few years. You'd be amazed by what we can do as a family.
My dream home.
Nice...
I'm reminded of Ma (from Little House) sweeping her dirt floor.
The B&W of the boy and Discovery needs to have a sound clip - Dun Dun Dunn!
