TGFF were insane enough to invite us camping with them again. This time, we decided to forgo the fun of celebrating a major holiday on the road and chose the more minor holiday of Labor Day weekend. Not that I'm dissing Labor Day. I appreciate any holiday that gives The Dad a 3 day weekend. I'm just saying, not having to cook a turkey in the oven of our trailer and then moving it to the BBQ is kind of nice.
We always seem to have fun when our families get together. I believe it's because we're all kind of whacked.
Or maybe it's because All of The Kids get along so nicely. Here, The Girls are playing with their DS' in TGFFGirl's room in their rented tent.
Here, The Boys are playing with their DS' on the picnic table.
Camping sure has changed a lot from when I was a kid.
One thing hasn't changed however,
Campfires and S'mores.
Campfires are still smokey and S'mores are still sticky. Showers are few and far between.
Relaxation is often.
Unless, you make the mistake of beginning a conversation with The Boy first thing in the morning. Before you've had enough coffee. If you even pretend interest in his conversing, you will be sorry.
"And then...Pokemon....DS.....blah...blah...blah"
"and then....isn't that funny? You wanna know what?"
And then, TGFFMom made the mistake of asking a question and showing interest...
Silly woman. She should know better by now.
"I just asked to borrow some milk!"
Lots of fun was had, lessons learned (we hope), and craziness ensued. Thanks for hanging with us TGFFamily! We love you all. Yes, even TGFFDad.
How fun! You are making wonderful memories for your family. :)

Great trip! Yeah, don't even bring up Pokemon unless you want an ear full! Yikes!
