This past week, The Kids returned to school after a wonderfully, relaxing, and fun Winter Break. Although, with our weather, it really seemed more like Spring Break. Even today, it is a balmy 75 degrees outside and we are all wearing shorts. It's a tough life I know.
Other than trying to wade knee deep through The Girl's bedroom and somehow find order, my week was pretty, well, boring. Which, don't get me wrong is much better than some alternatives.
Although, The Aunt treated me to a wonderful pedicure on Friday morning, in exchange for throwing her baby shower, and we had a great lunch and some very quality time together. That wasn't boring. That was heaven. Especially since I am not the pedicure type. This treat may have just changed my thoughts about that. I think I will throw her a baby shower every few months.
This week I will be venturing into The Lego Room, er The Boy's bedroom which is a time bomb of Legos waiting to blow our whole house away.
Maybe you all would like to take advantage of my lack of real content (Ha! Like I ever have "real" content?) and check out one of my favorite sites. Each of us in The Family love to read. Love to read so much that The Kids will usually choose a trip to The Bookstore vs. The Toystore for treats, rewards, etc.
About a year ago, The Dad sent me a link to a place where you can get cheap books. I love me some cheap books. So you all need to head on over to Paperback Swap.com and join up to get yourself some cheap books as well. If you sign up using that link, I do get one credit when you post your first ten books.
You post your books that you've already enjoyed and get credits for mailing them out to other members, with those credits, you then order books for yourself. You only pay to ship your books out. You can even buy postage online and then mail them from your own mailbox. Easy-peasy. Over the year I've been a member, I have saved $90 in books. That used to be one trip to The Bookstore for The Family. The great thing is that you have access to all genres and I've found many hard to find books there.
So, while I'm trying to come up with adventures to excite you all and keep you coming back, feel free to not hold your breath and head on over to Paperback Swap. It's good for your mind and your wallet.
